Don Pitt volunteered his expertise and equipment to 9 ArtWalk music events. The music venues varied from an open-air flagpole stage to a small coffee shop. On ArtWalk days, his sound was enjoyed simultaneously along 2 blocks of First Street and inside a crowded coffee house. He set up his microphones, cables, and speakers before the musicians arrived, and packed up his equipment after everyone else went home. In between, Don gave voice to the melodies and rhythms of the excellent ArtWalk musicians. I received compliments from all of the musicians for Don's professional management and execution of sound. Above all, Don's successful music production was demonstrated by the many residents and visitors that stopped to listen on ArtWalk day. Don's generous talent, equipment, and heart have been "instrumental" towards growing ArtWalk into one of Livemore's most popular annual events.

Don produced sound at all four bi-annual Livermore "
New Orleans Bash at the Bothwell" events. This involved amplifying both a large jazz band in a cavernous hall and a small dixieland band in a reproduction of "Preservation Hall". The wildly popular Bash occurs just before Mardi Gras each year. Don also produces sound for the "American Cancer Society Relay For Life" and the annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner, and works the sound controls at the wonderful, annual "Two Day Town" music festival at Lake Del Valle.

In all of Don's ventures,
Debbie Anderson provides the love, encouragement, and support that is necessary for success. She helps all of us that way.

Kenny Williams produced sound for the first ArtWalk in 2002. Kenny has performed with a variety of instruments, brought new musicians to ArtWalk, helped me with contacts and information, and assisted Don Pitt with sound management on every annual ArtWalk event. Kenny is the essential ingredient to our music event.
